Boardwalk to Park Place

My mother attended a class reunion in the early 1980’s in Seattle, WA. My Aunt went with her, as she also graduated there, but four years after my mother.

While my wife and I visited my aunt at her home in Seattle, she shared with us an exchange that took place at the picnic. As at any event unfolds, the big topic is always about their children and what is new with them. When my mother’s turn came up, she told of events about three of her children, when ask how about her fourth child?’, she smiled and somewhat sheepishly shared that, of him, ‘He plays real life monopoly for a living’, talk about a compliment, I was very touched, for she was right on.
