Electricity and Kids Safety

:

The earlier you start teaching your little ones about the dangers of electricity, that is one more safety accomplishment on your list.

Start by:

· Dry their hands prior to plugging into an electrical outlet

· Keep their fingers out of electrical wall outlets.

· For your toddlers, place a safety plug cap on outlets

· When removing a plug from outlets, grip the plug, not the cord.

· Fly kites and drowns away from power lines.

· When outside, explain to the child not to ever touch a fallen power line that is on the ground.

· Never climb on electrical outdoor equipment in your yard or elsewhere.
