As to the popular culture cliché of British policemen saying "'ello 'ello 'ello", it was derived from the traditional greeting used by police officers when approaching someone or addressing a situation.
United Kingdom police officers known as Peels man / Bobby/ Copper, why the Copper reference name? This is because their badges were once made of copper.
